FIESTA PAVES PATH FOR PARTY TIME IN '09®

Looking for a family event to kick off Fiesta in San Antonio? Nothing is more fun
than the twenty sixth annual Alamo Heights Night® on Friday April 8. "It's
Party Time in '09® " is staged by the Alamo Heights Rotary Club for the benefit of
local charities and community service support. Some 10,000 - 12,000 neighbors,
friends and new-found revelers will join in the merriment at the campus of the

University of the Incarnate Word at 4301 Broadway.

Colorful food and beverage booths will offer savory selections from dozens of
San Antonio's leading restaurateurs and caterers. Texas style barbecue, chocolate

dipped strawberries, funnel cakes, turkey legs, chalupas, tamales and bean burgers

are just a sampling of the festive-fare offered at Alamo Heights Night® .

Festival favorites from Fresh Horizons Catering have become a mainstay. The
fajita taco booth serving beef and chicken fajitas with grilled onions, freshly made
pico de gallo, guacamole and home made tortillas is a must-have party time
treat. "We grill all of our fajitas on site over wood-burning pits," said catering
owner Caryn Hasslocher.

Thrills and chills await children at this year's carnival midway featuring
breathtaking jumps, slides, and riveting rides guaranteed to produce plenty of
"hang time." Many new activities have been added this year including an array of

video games, rock climbing wall, laser tag, and hamster balls. Games of skill will

delight children of all ages.

Live entertainment stages will showcase the talents of Hotcakes, Rick Cavender,
and the Tennessee Valley Authority, some of whom have been crowd favorites
for over 15 years. Dancing under the stars is a popular pastime with the young
and the young at heart attending this year's event. The Velocity Tour is tentatively

scheduled to perform three shows for the children and teens.

For those looking for a chance to become the next American Idol, the karaoke
stage is a crowd pleaser with audience members belting our popular tunes with
professional sound mixers providing the back-up melody. The good, the bad and
the tone-deaf are all welcome to tout their talented tonsils at Party Time In '09®.

"It's Party time in '09® " (the "09" being the last two digits in the Alamo Heights
zip code 78209) is how the Alamo Heights Rotary calls one of Fiesta's most
popular events. Planning is a year-around activity with over 100 Rotarians
volunteering to man committees, recruit 750+ volunteers, and manage the
growing festival.

Proceeds from the event benefit local charities and community activities. Funds
are raised primarily from gate admissions, concession sales at the event,
sponsor donations, and sale of event t-shirts. Since its inception, Alamo Heights
Night® has raised almost $2,000,000 in support of nonprofit organizations and
community service activities creating a positive impact upon the communities
they serve.

The gates are open from 5:30 pm until 11:30 pm with FREE admission for children
under 12 years of age, $5 admission for ages 12-17 and students with a valid ID,
and $10 admission for adults. Advance tickets can be purchased at Creative

Chocolates, 7700 Broadway (at Nottingham), the Broadway Bank branches at

Loop 410 and the Austin Highway location, and at the University of the Incarnate Word.
